Pan Xiaoou

I am a visual artist and illustrator based in Qingyuan, Guangdong, China.

Graduated from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, I have journeyed from children’s illustration and art‑teaching publications toward mixed‑media creation including watercolor, traditional Chinese painting, ceramics and glass art.

My art draws inspiration from two worlds: the natural surroundings of my hometown — insects, plants and local scenery, and my inner spiritual exploration.

I used to focus on telling stories through illustrations. Today, I lean more toward atmosphere‑driven creation. Through colour, texture and negative space, I translate quiet, subtle inner feelings into artworks.

To date, I have contributed to more than 50 published books and held multiple solo exhibitions, while taking part in numerous local cultural‑creative events. These books and shows are the footprint of my artistic journey.
